Hey there!

My name is Lukas Rammelmüller and I'm a postdoc in the group of Lode Pollet @ LMU Munich.

I use and develop computational tools to explore the exciting world of ultracold atom physics. In particular, I am interested in the properties of strongly interacting quantum many-body systems at low temperatures and the possible occurrence of exotic phases of matter.

I'm always happy to discuss and share my work so don't hesitate to contact me - for questions, other input or just to say hi!

Recent news

[06 Jun 2021] A sign of life

Check out our recent paper on the spin-susceptibility of the UFG above the critical temperature published in Phys. Rev. A recentely where we discuss consequences for the formation of a pseudogap at unitarity. Also, keep an eye out for upcoming work on trapped fermions - slides for my recent DAMOP talk on the topic can be found here!

[29 Jul 2020] An update from home-office far, far away..

Productivity is unsteady in times of perpetual home office.. but we finally did it: Our new paper on pairing patterns in spin- and mass-imbalanced Fermi gases was published in SciPost the other day. I had a great experience - fully open access and an overall great review process. Keep on Scipost! In other news, I had my first virtual conference experience at MCQST 2020, where I presented a poster - check it out here.

[03 Jan 2020] Defended!

It is done! Now I’m off to LMU Munich where I’ll work as a Postdoc in the group of Lode Pollet @ LMU Munich for the next few years. Exciting times ahead!

[04 Aug 2019] Upcoming conferences - RPMBT20 & QSEC2019

I’ll be contributing talks to RPMBT20 in Toulouse and QSEC2019 in Heidelberg - see you there in September!

[25 Jul 2019] New paper posted on arXiv

Check out our latest work on complex Langevin simulations and other ways to fight the sign problem - thanks to all for the awesome Darmstadt-UNC collaboration!

[24 May 2019] Invited talk @ ECT* workshop in Trento

I got invited to give a talk at the ECT* workshop “High-energy physics at ultra-cold temperatures” in Trento. Check out the slides here!

[01 May 2019] New job

Exciting news: I’m going to join the group of Lode Pollet @ LMU Munich as a postdoc starting January 2020.
